We are Emma and Cédric. We moved to Bossut in 2017 with the intention of following our dreams. Chez Spoons was born – a Cooking School with a Bed & Breakfast, a large kitchen garden with chickens and lots and lots of cake! It is our dream, and like most dreams, they take time to become reality, as a result the cooking school and kitchen garden are still a work in progress, but the journey is fun!
Our goal is to create a place that makes you feel good through sharing. Our name “Chez Spoons” helps to epitomise this idea. The French word “Chez” is used in French to mean “home”– we want you to feel as comfortable at Chez Spoons as you do when you are at home. “Spoons” came from the idea of sharing when one might ask for two spoons to share a cake or dessert, it is also the utensil we use to share out meals. We want to help to create a small special moment for you, whether that be through sharing breakfast after a stay in our Bed and Breakfast, sharing a bespoke cake at your special event or sharing a learning experience at the cooking school.
